Sustainability

Our Sustainability Story

At Posh Textiles, we have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to producing textiles in a way that poses minimal threat to the planet. From investing 2% of our yearly revenue into local communities close to our manufacturing facilities to raising the standard of living for our mill employees, we are constantly seeking new ways to give back—in every kind of way.

Material Transparency

One key way we are reducing our carbon footprint and outgoing waste is by enhancing product durability. Better quality materials, improved fiber selection, and sustainable finishes are just a few ways we are making this possible. Whether that is using azo-free dyes that are safer for humans and the environment to recycling manufacturing waste of selvages, turning them into yarns and finally bags which are distributed to the community, making the most out of our resources is important to us.

Shipping Waste Reduction

Recycling shipping waste is a further must in our mission to adopt a circular manufacturing model. Not only do we strive to reduce landfill waste where possible, but we also actively ensure all packaging is reduced or avoided completely including plastic bags, cardboard boxes and beyond.

Mission Zero Emission

We have also installed clean technology such as electric vehicle charging stations at our headquarters and we are fitting solar panels in our building spaces to reduce and ultimately completely eliminate our consumption of fossil fuels. Our next step is to install large capacity solar panels to our mill that will help accelerate our sustainability and environmental goals.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Giving back to our community matters to us. Our people and their communities are fundamental to the success of Posh Textiles. That is why we run https://shaheyehospital.org/, an eye hospital clinic in India which provides free care to those that are less fortunate, as well as providing free meals to inpatients affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and daily wage earners. We ensured all our mill employees were paid during the multiple lockdowns so they could stay home safe and without the added worry about how they would pay for their expenses during these trying times.
